Location: Horning, Norfolk, UK
We set off from Horning on the river Bure, with a packed lunch from the local deli, and head downstream to the ruins of St Benet's abbey, where we stop to look around. We then follow the Ant to How Hill's nature reserve and the old marshman's cottage there. We enjoy our lunch before continuing on to Barton Broad, bird-spotting and maybe even seeing an otter or two. After making a leisurely tour of the Broad we are picked up in Neatishead and taken back to Horning for a well-earned pint by the river at The Swan.
