Ice-Fishing is an exiting winter activity to try. It is quite popular hobby among local men in Pärnu. River and Pärnu bay provide good possibilities. You will learn how to drill holes with an ice auger for ice fishing and how to catch diffrent fish like Perch. We will cook together a fish soup for lunch.
Tina | Torquay, Torbay, UKWinter Wildlife Tracking in Soom 16 Feb '12 What a brilliant experience, we went as a family of four, the kids being 6 & 9 yrs, but the whole trip was tailored around what we could do. The kick sledging was great fun and Aivar was extremely patient with us, allowing the kids to roll in the snow if that's what they wanted. His knowledge and enthusiasm about the area was impressive. Afterwards we travelled to his parents farm where we met his father who led the expedition across the frozen river and through the woods looking for animal tracks. We saw lynx, fox, pine martin, stoat & roe deer tracks. Following this we were welcomed into his parents house where his mother cooked pancakes with home made jams, elk & wild boar sausage, cheese, rollmops with a cup of tea, coffee, milk or home made cherry squash. Thank you so much for a unforgettable experience and making us feel so welcome
