Location: Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria LA11, UK
A fantastic day out starting with a tour of the Edwardian seaside town of Grange over Sands, followed by a spectacular guided walk over Hampsfell and a visit to one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the North of England. During the day, we will be sampling products from a number of the food producers who are rapidly turning the beautiful village of Cartmel into a foodie paradise. The day will end when we return by train, following a post lunch stroll down to Cark station.
What's included:Services of a qualified Blue Badge guide. 3 course lunch at Rogan & Co owned by Michelin starred chef Simon Rogan. Entrance to Priory. Cheese/beer/wine/bread tastings. Rail fare back to Grange.
Extra information:Meet at Grange-over-Sands Station at 10am. Bring suitable outdoor clothing, walking shoes and a good appetite.
