About me

Hello, my name is Meritxell (a nice Catalan name difficult to pronounce!) and I'm a biologist and walking guide living in the amazing southern Catalonia. I love my country, I've walked and helped to restore km of ancient bridle paths, I work actively with local nature and cultural associations and I'm fully engaged in the transmission of traditional knowledge and the economic development of our territory. My major passion is to show you our territory, landscape, connect you with local people, enjoy and taste our local food, wine, beer, honey,... and have a great time together!

Why I love my local area

Southern Catalonia is a stunning territory, with highly diverse landscape and nature reserves, rich biodiversity and cultural heritage, tasty local products like the world famous wines of the Priorat,... From an impressive and long coast to inland lush and cool mountains and rivers, from Mediterranean coastal and rocky mountain ranges to the Ebro Delta and its rice crops, from the rolling hills covered with vineyards to what we call the southern Pyrenees, a beautiful and huge mountain range. A whole world to discover, quite unknown and unspoilt, free of massive tourism. Come and we will show you around!
