About me
About me? Well.. I'm your friend at the other end..! :-) I’m hosting and guiding tourist in the Rann of Kutch, proudly showing them splendid embroidery and handicrafts of Kutch, exploring stunning landscape with my camera and hanging out with local artisans, folk singers and connecting people with rural India, a real India. If you fancy visiting off the beaten trails in India, meeting traditional people, interested in various embroidery and craft, love being in the middle of nowhere, trek the hills or swimming in Arabian Sea, Kutch is highly recommended. “Carpe diem” Kuldip Gadhvi
Why I love my local area
On the western end of Gujarat state, India’s second largest district Kutch (or Kachchh) is situated. History of Kutch links back to 1500 BC when Harrapan Civilization thrived on the bank of Indus River. Since then different cultures and communities settled one after another in Kutch from Sindh, Persia, Marwar (Rajasthan) and Gujarat as the region had rich Flora and Fauna. Even today Kutch is well known for its cultural heritage, exotic embroidery and wonderful landscape. Inland divided in Great Rann of Kutch (once upon riverbed of Indus River and now flat and barren but most beautiful territory of nothingness), lush midland around Bhuj surrounded by hills and seaside only 1 hour by road.

TimJust got back from our amazing trip with Kuldip! Loved every single minute of it! We planned our trip around two weeks in advance and Kuldip would always reply to our questions within 24 hours. He customized our trip from beginning to end and accompanied us for most of it. We met local people in remote villages that we wouldn't even know existed if it wasn't for Kuldip. He made sure we bought the most amazing fabrics for very reasonable prices directly with the local producers. He took us to the stunning Mandvhi beach which made us the only ones there. The ran of Kutch is spectacular and a once in a lifetime experience. We highly recommend Kuldip!
