About me

I am a qualified Blue Badge guide living in Kendal, on the fringes of the beautiful Lake District National Park and I love to introduce visitors to the area. I am keen to offer memorable experiences based on your particular interests, whether it is history, architecture, industry, farming, local food & drink, landscape or seeing where your ancestors may have lived. Whatever your interest I will do my best to make your visit one that you look forward to repeating

Why I love my local area

Cumbria is best known as the home of the Lake District National Park, which contains 16 lakes and England's highest mountains. It is a haven for lovers of wildlife and the great outdoors as well as connoisseurs of good food. In addition, there is the wild and remote west coat, a border history of conflicts with Scotland and the little known green rolling hills of southern Cumbria where you could walk for hours without seeing a single person. I immediately felt relaxed and at peace the first time I came here and I'm sure you would feel the same.
