About Me

I'm a Manchester lass born and bred and despite a few years away at university and periods travelling the globe, I've spent most of my life here in Manchester, a city I absolutely love. I live in a small suburb 3 miles from the city centre called Didsbury, which is where I also run my own business.

My hobbies include travel and the Arts. I'm often found wandering around the city's museums and galleries and watching amazing theatre - when I am not watching I'm treading the boards at my local amateur dramatics society.

My passion for travel started when I took a gap year after university. It certainly wasn't a luxurious trip but, I experienced some amazing places, their cultures and people and it left me wanting more. Over the years my travels have taken me to many places including India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, the Far East, North America, Mexico, Africa and Mozambique.

Manchester have a strong industrial heritage but, with its vibrancy it's constantly changing and now modern architecture jostles for space with the spires and gargoyles of Manchester's past. It's a great place to go out in with a fantastic music scene; great history and diverse venues enabling you to listen to anything from pop to funk to world class classical performances. Added to this are great shopping (from high end department stores to independent boutiques, all situated in a compact shopping district); wonderful restaurants with celebrity chefs; modern and trendy bars alongside traditional pubs; and some great football teams.

What's more, Manchester is the gateway to all the Northwest and Wales has to offer with some beautiful countryside and beaches within a 1 and a half hour drive. If you would like to sample all this and more then please contact me - I'm looking forward to helping you plan a memorable trip.
